Ashford Castle, built in 1228, by Anglo Normans as a monastic site, and now has been turned into a luxury hotel, in Cong county Mayo Ireland. It was most famously used as a backdrop to the John Ford movie The Quiet Man, which starred John Wayne and Maureen O Hara.
About Joe Ormonde
Joe Ormonde is a Photographer based in County Tipperary, in the south east of Ireland. The majority of Joe's work is from around his local area, constantly combing the Comeragh Mountains, and the valley of Slievenamon for some new material. Some would say that Joe is spoilt for choice living in such a beautiful scenic location.
