The current Bodie Island Lighthouse is the third that has stood in this vicinity of Bodie Island on the Outer Banks in North Carolina and was built in 1872. It stands 156 feet (48 m) tall and is located on the Roanoke Sound side of the first island that is part of the Cape Hatteras National Seashore.
Joe Ormonde is a Photographer based in County Tipperary, in the south east of Ireland. The majority of Joe's work is from around his local area, constantly combing the Comeragh Mountains, and the valley of Slievenamon for some new material. Some would say that Joe is spoilt for choice living in such a beautiful scenic location. Joe would say, this is true, the rivers and valley's provide much of nature's natural beauty, and along with the long standing historical buildings and architecture that accompanies all that majestic beauty, there is a never ending supply of Photographic subjects.
