Artist's Description

This is the Dunbrody Famine Ship, situated in dock at New Ross county Wexford, Ireland. It was ships similar to this that many Irishmen and women had to leave home and attempt to find a better life in America, thankfully,many did, but sadly many never got to see the land of hope and glory either.
It was also from here in New Ross that a one Patrick Kennedy left Ireland for Boston in 1849,...the rest as they say ..is History.

The majority of Joe's work is from around his local area, constantly combing the Comeragh Mountains, and the valley of Slievenamon for some new material. Some would say that Joe is spoilt for choice living in such a beautiful scenic location. Joe would say, this is true, the rivers and valley's provide much of nature's natural beauty, and along with the long standing historical buildings and architecture that accompanies all that majestic beauty, there is a never ending supply of Photographic subjects.
