The Dark Hedges are a line of Beach trees planted about 200 years ago, which have entangled themselves into one another to form a spooky effect.
There is stories locally of a ghostly figure called the "Grey Lady" who frequently floats in and out of the silvery trees.
The Dark Hedges has also been used in scenes from the very successful TV series Game of Thrones.
About Joe Ormonde
Joe Ormonde is a Photographer based in County Tipperary, in the south east of Ireland. The majority of Joe's work is from around his local area, constantly combing the Comeragh Mountains, and the valley of Slievenamon for some new material. Some would say that Joe is spoilt for choice living in such a beautiful scenic location. Joe would say, this is true, the rivers and valley's provide much of nature's natural beauty, and along with the long standing historical buildings and architecture that accompanies all that majestic beauty, there is a never ending supply of Photographic subjects.
